Hard Rock Opens Giant Guitar-Shaped Hotel & Casino
The world’s first guitar-shaped hotel aptly named The Guitar Hotel just opened its doors in Hollywood, Florida, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Hotel & Casino.
The 450-foot-tall structure cost a cool $1.5 billion to construct and has 638 luxury guest rooms and suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows.
In the casino, there are 3,000 slot machines, 193 games tables, a 46-table poker room, 30 bars, restaurants, lounges, a nightclub, and a retail promenade.
Outside, the building has built-in LED lights and high-powered beams that project high into the sky and resemble guitar strings.
The show is a daily spectacular featuring a series of orchestrated outdoor music and light shows showcasing the LED lights built into all sides of the brand new and immaculate Guitar Hotel. The lights are programmed to change color and intensity and are choreographed to different songs. Six high-powered beams of light accentuate the production by projecting at least 20,000 feet into the sky. The six lights mimic the strings of an imaginary guitar neck.
The hotel officially opened on October 25th with a Maroon 5 concert, and upcoming concerts include Sting, Alicia Keys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Billy Joel.
