The Ultimate Dodge Charger: 1525 HP, Twin-Turbo, Widebody, AWD.

Just about every engine you can get in the Dodge Challenger you can get in the four-door Charger, too – but not the Demon. That was restricted to the two-door muscle coupe. But that evidently didn’t sit well with the power-obsessed tuners at SpeedKore, so they developed this muscle sedan on their own, and took it far beyond anything Mopar has done in-house.

Unveiled at SEMA this week, the SpeedKore Demon is based on a 2019 Dodge Charger Pursuit police cruiser, but it’s much more powerful than anything you’d find in a law enforcement agency’s motor pool.

From the showroom, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon’s engine, which differs slightly from the Hellcat V-8s offered more regularly throughout the Charger and Challenger lineups, made 808 horsepower on pump gas and 840 on race fuel. With a new “triple pump” fuel system and 1700-cc fuel injectors, along with a custom intake and heads, the newly twin-turbocharged Demon V-8 is said to have pushed out 1525 horsepower on an early dyno run.

However much muscle the engine is ultimately capable of producing, it’s not left to the rear wheels alone to handle. It’s transmitted through a Hellraise Performance gearbox to all four corners – something you can’t get from the factory with anything more than the Pentastar V6.

Dodge also provided a Charger Hellcat Widebody that was 3D-scanned to produce molds for the devilish ride’s widebody kit, while Speedkore fitted a carbon fiber front and rear bumper, rockers, hood, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Everything rides on Mickey Thompson ET street tires.
