This is First official James Bond-inspired production bike. It is based on the stunt bikes used in No Time to Die and is a limited edition model.
What was Harley Street 750 for Marvel’s Captain America, what was BMW R1150GS Adventure for Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s TV adventure series the Long Way Round and Long Way Down, that is Triumph Scrambler 1200 for new James Bond’s No Time For Die.
The special edition and ultra-rare motorcycle is based on the top-spec ‘XE’ variant of the Scrambler 1200. In addition to all the features on the standard model, the Bond Edition will further come with a number of customised touches as well.
This includes a unique billet riser clamp with laser-etched individual numbering, 007 branding all around, blacked-out finishes, premium Sapphire Black paint scheme, oversized tank badge, leather seats with embossed 007 logo, Bond TFT instrument cluster start-up screen, black-anodised finished all around, black rear wheel adjuster, stainless steel headlight grille and Arrow silence with carbon-fibre end caps.
Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition is powered by a 1,200 cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine that delivers 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. This engine makes use of ride-by-wire system and is coupled to a six-speed transmission with torque assist clutch.
The bike uses 45 mm fully adjustable Showa inverted forks and fully-adjustable twin-spring Ohlins rear suspension units with piggyback reservoirs. To take on the uncharted terrains, this Scrambler has 200 mm front and rear wheel travel. The braking duties are tended to by Brembo M50 radial mono block calipers with twin 320 mm front and single 255 mm rear disc brakes.
Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition gets a price tag of $18,500 but unfortunately all 250 models have already been sold. For reference, the standard Scrambler 1200 XE gets a price tag of $14,000. Every buyer will be given a Bond handover pack which includes a numbered letter hand-signed by Triumph’s CEO, a Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition bike cover, and a leather rucksack.
