Tesla has been innovating from the very start – their Model X is one of the very first all-electric SUVs.

The initial rollout in 2016 garnered a lot of attention, and the past few years has proven its worth. It won the American Automobile Association’s Top Green Vehicle overall for 2017, Forbes’ Best Vehicle of the Year for 2017, and a Guinness World Record for towing a 130 tones Boeing 787-9 airplane almost 1,000 feet. This year, you can enter to win a Model X of your own.

The Tesla Model X is the EV automaker’s first crossover and it has seating for up to seven passengers. Riding on the same platform as the Model S sedan, the Model X differentiates itself with its higher roofline, a large panoramic windshield, falcon wing doors, and driver and front passenger doors that automatically open or close when you enter or exit the car.

Available with three different battery sizes and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Unlike the Model S sedan, which is available in single- or dual-motor versions, the Model X is available exclusively with two electric motors as standard. The base 75D is able to to travel up to 238 miles on a single charge and the 90D has slightly more range at 257 miles. Tesla recently introduced the Model X P100D, which has an estimated range of 289 miles on a single charge thanks to a 100-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It’s also the quickest Model X variant, with Tesla estimating that it will be able to hit 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.

Even with 22-inch alloy wheels and a higher roofline, the Model X still has a nice ride and handling balance. Inside, a few features hindered the car’s practicality, such as the available monopost second-row seats in three-row variants that only tilt and don’t recline, fold, or move forward, meaning the Model X doesn’t have the same level of practicality as other large crossovers.
