Paul Walker’s Shelby 427 Cobra roadster is for sale.

Late Fast and Furious star Paul Walker didn’t just play a gearhead in high-octane blockbusters, he personally owned enough hot rods, rear-wheel drifters and other racy rides to fill a small car dealership.

With only 14 specimens ever produced, the Shelby Cobra CXS1000 is one of the most coveted and sought-after American sports cars of all time. Of the 14 examples built, one unit—serial number CSX1010—stands out from the rest as an ultra-limited special edition model with a wildly noteworthy ownership history.

The 1965 427 Cobra continuation car was commissioned by Carroll Shelby himself in the late ‘90s and was owned by the American automotive legend before later being acquired by the late Paul Walker. What’s more, this very car is one of only two FAM-spec units produced, with the monicker being short for “Ferrari’s Ass is Mine’—a blatant nod to Ford’s historic win over the Prancing Horse at Le Mans. The car is powered by a matching numbers Shelby 427 FE aluminum 550hp V8, mated to a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission, and features Shelby aluminum differential housing, four-wheel independent suspension, Wilwood brakes bit by Shelby calipers, and Halibrand-style 15” pin drive wheels. Decorated with FAM badging inside and out, the Cobra’s AC-built hand-rolled aluminum body is adorned in a Rosso Corsa red livery while the bespoke tan leather interior sports a stainless steel roll bar, Shelby custom carpeting, and an S/C dash layout. This ex-Shelby and Walker-owned 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra FAM will cross the auction block at Mecum’s forthcoming Glendale Sale in March of 2021.
