This is Essenza SCV12 a new supercar from Lamborghini, unfortunately owners won’t be able to legally drive on public roads.
So, if you buy one, Lamborghini recommends you let the company keep it for you in a special garage at the company’s headquarters in Italy. Ofcourse you’ll have access to a secure web cam feed so you can look at the car whenever they want.
If you want to drive the car, Lamborghini will arrange for you to be transported to almost any racetrack in the world and you’ll be able to drive it there. Lamborghini will also provide a professional racecar driver to provide coaching in how to get the most speed and enjoyment from your V12-powered supercar.
This track-only monster features the most powerful iteration of the Lamborghini V-12 yet—a 6.5-liter making over 830 horsepower. The rest of the spec is pure Formula 1, with a carbon-fiber monocoque, a six-speed sequential transmission that acts as a stressed member of the chassis, pushrod suspension, and an aero package that should produce more downforce than a GT3 car. Based on Lamborghini’s weight-to-power ratio of 1.66 hp/kg, the Essenza SCV12 should weigh around 3038 pounds.
Design wise, the Essenza SCV12 is definitely a Lamborghini, though the brand said in a press release that the car also takes inspiration from 1970s prototype race cars. The lights mounted in the bumper certainly bring the Porsche 935 to mind, as does the extended rear bodywork. That’s not surprising, as Lamborghini’s design head, Mitja Borkert, came to the Italian brand from Porsche.
Inside, the Essenza SCV12 pretty spartan, like Formula 1. The focal point is a race car-esque steering wheel with tons of buttons and switches, and an integrated gauge cluster.
Lamborghini hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the automaker says it only plans on building 40 examples
