Aston Martin Valhalla is new name for AM-RB 003 hypercar.
Valhalla, aka the ‘Son of Valkyrie’, an all-new performance-bred predator that follows Aston Martin Valkyrie and Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro as the third hyper car in Aston Martin’s mid-engine story.
Valhalla will be a revolutionary mid-engine hypercar incorporating concepts and technologies taken directly from F1™ and inspired by Aston Martin Valkyrie, benefitting from the close involvement of Red Bull Advanced Technologies in its design and engineering, continuing one of the brightest and most exciting engineering partnerships in the automotive world.
The chassis and suspension will dip heavily into the Valkyrie engineering, with an active suspension setup and a carbon fiber structure. The bodywork will be all carbon fiber, too. Despite the race-friendly technology, Aston Martin is positioning the Valhalla as a road-friendly vision of performance. That includes a larger cabin and doors that open forward and upwards for easier ingress, together with more storage space including a cargo shelf behind the seats for your luggage. A pared-back center console relies on your smartphone for its infotainment display, while the majority of the controls are mounted on a racecar-inspired steering wheel.
The Valhalla will be an extraordinary machine with or without a roof. It will use a battery-electric hybrid powertrain comprised of a turbocharged V6 and an unknown number of electric motors, and though nothing is confirmed, driving all four wheels seem an obvious assumption. That’s because the thrust from this setup is expected to produce 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts), and with a projected weight under 3,000 pounds (1,361 kilograms) it should absolutely fly.
It’s slated to cost somewhere between £1 million and £1.5 million – though if you’re one of the one-per-centers thinking of copping one, an extra half a million probably isn’t going to make a great dent in your current account – and only 500 will be made.
