AMG Debuts Special Edition G63 with Matching Tirranna Speed Boat.
Unveiled at the 2020 Miami International Boat Show, the 12th Mercedes-AMG collaboration with Cigarette Racing is their most impressive to date.
As with land-based performance vehicles, Cigarette Racing used carbon fiber to trim weight. The lightweight material was used throughout the boat’s superstructure, as well as the hardtop. The carbon fiber hardtop also helps reduce the boat’s center of gravity, improving handling, the Florida-based company said.
New boat is pure AMG with six motors and 2,700 total horsepower on tap. The 59′ Tirranna AMG Edition is being released alongside a matching Mercedes G63 and features six outboard supercharged 4.6-liter V8 Mercury Racing 450R engines that produce 2,700 total horsepower for a top speed of 80mph.
The vessel has room for up to 26 passengers and includes indoor and outdoor kitchens, a cabin for overnights, and a premium JBL Audio sound system. It has a metallic black exterior, with beige and dark blue leather inside and an IPad-based interface for passengers to control lighting and sound.
What boat owner wouldn’t want a Matching AMG to go with it? That’s what the one-off G63 is for. It has matching trim and leather to reflect the colors used on the boat, as well as the black with gold side decals to match the Tirranna as well. And for features, it has trick instruments that are on a flat LED panel and a California king bed in its cabin for relaxing after an oh-so-rough day out in the bay.
Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing have been collaborating since 2007, creating a line of special-edition boats inspired by models such as the AMG GT R sports car and AMG One hypercar in that time.
