Agusta Westland AW109SP

The AW109SP GrandNew is a twin-engine helicopter made by the Italian manufacturer Leonardo (formerly Agusta Westland).

Developed as the A109 by Agusta, it originally entered service in 1976 and has since been used in various roles, including light transport, medevac, search-and-rescue, and military roles. The AW109 has been in continuous production for 40 years.

The AW109SP is the fastest of its class with a maximum cruise speed of 180 miles / 289 kilometres per hour. The helicopter offers maximum safety through the latest technology and transports up to six passengers in the spacious and quiet cabin. Wide-opening sliding doors and electrically extendable steps provide easy access. The extended luggage compartment offers plenty of room for personal luggage. The glass cockpit provides the pilots with an excellent view and an ergonomic workplace.

Interiors on board the AW109SP are finished with leather seating as well as air conditioning and soundproofing features for optimum comfort. The 12.96 metre model has a range of 533 miles / 859 kilometres and an endurance of four and a half hours.
