Sean Connery ‘James Bond’ Actor Dies At Age 90

The legendary actor, known best for his role in James Bond, was 90-years-old. His death was announced by his family.

The Scottish-born star, who turned 90 in August, was long regarded as one of the top actors to play the fictional spy in the James Bond film series after starring in seven of the thrillers.

He played 007 in the first five James Bond films: Dr. No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), and You Only Live Twice (1967) – then appeared again as Bond in Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and Never Say Never Again (1983). He was long regarded as one of the top actors to play the fictional spy in the James Bond film series.

During his long career he also won two BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globes, including the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award.
