The Wisconsin shipyard still amazes with the new Marquis M42 “day boat”, which it presents at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.
A starboard entertainment centre, leisure space with sink and grill accommodation, ice maker and refrigerator are all useful for a relaxing day out on the water or the perfect party anchored in the harbour. You can add the optional hydraulic extendable swim platform and the space for guests increases. And to keep the sun under control, you can choose a hardtop or a Bimini top.
The cabin has everything you need for a refreshing break. Behind the sliding door is a galley with microwave, refrigerator, sink and storage room. With more than 6.5 feet of headroom hull side windows , the cabin looks bigger than it is. Towards the bow is a large U-shaped configuration, with the table turning into a queen-size berth.
The Marquis 42 will still be an amazing performer, with either twin 480-hp Cummins inboard diesels or twin 300- to 425-hp outboards. We expect a top-end of about 35 knots with the diesels and 40-plus knots with the twin 425-hp outboards.
