Aston Martin launches new £300,007 special edition of its DBS Superleggera to celebrate Bond movie’s 50th anniversary
For over half a century, the name DBS has meant just one thing: the ultimate production Aston Martin. A DBS is a distilled concentrate of all that has made Aston Martin not just one of the most coveted brands in the automotive sphere, but in all fields of endeavour, right around the world.

The 50 special edition cars will be painted in Olive Green to match the original 1969 Aston Martin DBS driven by 007 actor George Lazenby in the film which also starred Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas, with a minor role for the then unknown Joanna Lumley.
Owners of the new James Bond Special Edition super grand tourer also will have the option to select a bespoke £6,000 drinks case designed to fit perfectly into the boot space and also have to stump up for the bottle of champagne themselves.
Inside, it’s black leather with red striping, some Alcantara, and the option of a bespoke drinks case that slots into the boot. There are badges all over the place to remind you that yes, James Bond = Aston Martin.
The new special edition car is powered by the DBS Superleggera’s ferocious 5.2-litre 725 horsepower 48-valve twin-turbo V12 engine which is is set low and as far back in the chassis as possible to optimise the centre-of-gravity and weight distribution and linked to a ZF eight speed automatic gear-box.
It has a top speed of 211mph and will accelerate from rest to 62mph in just 3.4 seconds and to 100mph in 6.4 seconds
